Localization and Eigenvalue Statistics for the Lattice Anderson model with Discrete Disorder
We prove localization and probabilistic bounds on the minimum level spacing for the Anderson tight-binding model on the lattice in any dimension, with singlesite potential having a discrete distribution taking N values, with N large. These results hold for all energies under an assumption of weak hopping.
متن کاملEigenvalue Fluctuations for Lattice Anderson Hamiltonians
We consider the random Schrödinger operator−ε−2∆(d) +ξ (ε)(x), with ∆(d) the discrete Laplacian on Zd and ξ (ε)(x) are bounded and independent random variables, on sets of the form Dε := {x ∈ Zd : xε ∈ D} for D bounded, open and with a smooth boundary, and study the statistics of the Dirichlet eigenvalues in the limit ε ↓ 0. Assuming Eξ (ε)(x) = U(xε) holds for some bounded and continuous funct...
متن کاملEigenvalue statistics and lattice points
One of the more challenging problems in spectral theory and mathematical physics today is to understand the statistical distribution of eigenvalues of the Laplacian on a compact manifold. There are now several challenging conjectures about these, originating in the physics literature. In this survey, a version of a talk delivered as the Colloquio De Giorgi at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pis...
متن کاملCompetition between Anderson localization and antiferromagnetism in correlated lattice fermion systems with disorder.
The magnetic ground state phase diagram of the disordered Hubbard model at half-filling is computed in dynamical mean-field theory supplemented with the spin resolved, typical local density of states. The competition between many-body correlations and disorder is found to stabilize paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic metallic phases at weak interactions. Strong disorder leads to Anderson localiz...
متن کاملThe Anderson Model of Localization: A Challenge for Modern Eigenvalue Methods
We present a comparative study of the application of modern eigenvalue algorithms to an eigenvalue problem arising in quantum physics, namely, the computation of a few interior eigenvalues and their associated eigenvectors for the large, sparse, real, symmetric, and indefinite matrices of the Anderson model of localization. We compare the Lanczos algorithm in the 1987 implementation of Cullum a...
